What an au pair year in the Netherlands looks like
A room of your own
A private room is a legal requirement for the Dutch au pair permit. Sharing a room is not an option.
30 hours, two days off
At most 8 hours a day and 30 hours a week, at least two days off every week, and only light household tasks.
Insurance and permit arranged
The family pays for au pair insurance. If your passport needs a residence permit, a recognised sponsor files it for you. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens need no permit at all.

See them first
Every family introduces themselves on video before anything else, so you see the people behind a profile before you write back.
Video call before you decide
Propose a video call from the chat and meet the parents and children face to face before anyone commits.
Report anything that feels off
Asking an au pair for money is against the rules. Reports go to AuPairHub staff, and nobody is told who reported.
Why not just use an agency?
